Newcastle Golf Croquet 26th May

The Newcastle Golf Croquet tournament took place on May 26th.We had 16 entries which was the maximum that we could accomodate on our 3 lawns. Players were divided into 3 groups, with a play-off between the strongest players in the afternoon.

Nathaniel Healey emerged as the overall winner, the only blemish on his record was a loss to one of our juniors, Kieran Murphy. Another of our junior players Ben Harris had a very good win against Jane Shorten, which augurs well for the future..The result on the second lawn was a draw between Tamar and Sylvia..Brian Harris won the last hoop against Harry Johnston to win the 3rd.lawn.

Once again we are indebted to Brian and Jean for providing lunch. We were delighted to welcome a number of players from the Dublin clubs and we would remind you that you are always welcome, just give us a call to say that you are on your way.
