It is with deep sadness that I have to report the passing of Harry Johnston. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday 13th May 2020 in Eyrefield Manor Nursing Home, Greystones.

He was a great character in the world of Irish Croquet and was an Honorary Vice-President of the CAI. 

He personally maintained an excellent croquet lawn at his home which he opened to many friends and transition year students from a local school and many players were introduced to croquet on his lawn, including this writer. Some of these have gone on play at international standard.

He will be missed.
