With the first session of matches almost complete in the 2009 Irish Masters event, Michael O'Shaughnessy holds a 100% record in Division 2 and leads the way. A number of grudge matches were played out in the early rounds with Kieran Murphy prevailing +1 over Ben Harris. Subsequently Danny Johnston got the better of Kieran +17.

In Division one, Andrew Johnston tops the table so far. The defending Champion, Simon Williams, has had a tough start to his campaign losing both his opening matches. Conor Broderick had a win over Nathaniel Healy in what was described as a good standard match that swung both ways.

The next round of games is due at Herbert Park on June 20th and 21st. All players are asked to ensure they are available or inform the manager otherwise immediately. Outstanding games from earlier rounds must be played prior to this.
