Carrickmines. March 23-4. 14-point handicap results

Why were there just 13 entries - including two no-shows - for this attractive event.
Kiaran Murphy won, with 8 wins from 10 games. Danny Johnston completed his first triple peel (without bisques). Daniel Eismann (Dublin University) played in his first tournament.
There was an international presence in the form of Campbell Morrison. Ed Cunningham won the Sunday prize (Easter egg) and Simon Williams the Monday prize (whiskey). Kiaran's prize was a voucher for the Trentuno cafe.
Mary Dobbyn obtained the excellent cakes that we enjoyed at tea-time.

Details of the Dublin University Open on 19th,20th April have been published. Details posted under Entry Forms section.

Irish Masters Championship

The details for the Irish Masters have been published and are available here.

This is a competition of 2 divisions with eight players in each, initially chosen by the selection committee. It is planned that this event will provide competitive play which will count for world rankings and will develop the depth of the international squad.

Proposed venues and date are: Herbert Park 26,27 April, Newcastle 21,22 June and Carrickmines on 19,20 July and 23 August.
