This event is a mixture of Golf and Association Croquet and a three person team are being sent to represent Ireland;
Kieran Murphy (C)
Danny Johnston
Jack Clingan
Ed Cunningham regained his hold on the Silver Medal Invitational after Andrew Johnston's two year unbeaten run in the event.
Fine weather, nice lawns and very firm/tightly-set hoops challenged the 6 players. Despite the hoops and the early date in the season, 16 triple peels were recorded in the 29 games played = 55% which is a high percentage.

Herbert Park Croquet Club Croquet Notes 2010
The first match of the season was on May 8th against Carrickmines at Carrickmines. A slight disaster for HPCC who lost 8-1 but this was offset, to some extent, by a most substantial and enjoyable tea.
Lovely sunny weather with less than one hours drizzle all weekend. Nineteen players after a handful of withdrawals (including two English visitors who we hope can get their passports in order in time for next years tournament!). Nice afternoon teas thanks to the tennis brigade in Carrickmines and top quality lawns as per usual from Simon and Rocket.
