Mark won their invitational tournament last month, and placed first in their recent "USA vs Ireland" Challenge. Patsy Fitzgerald and Ed Cunningham were also invited to play. Although not an official international match, I am pleased to report that "Ireland" won by 5 matches to 4.

Herbert Park Croquet Club
Our 2012 season starts at 2pm on Saturday March 31. We would welcome new members. Herbert Park Croquet Club has 2 croquet lawns next to the tennis courts in the beautiful Herbert Park in Ballsbridge Dublin 4. All equipment is provided and the annual membership fee is 70 euros - which covers use of the courts ,without extra charges, any time the park is open. Coaching is also available for beginners. Herbert Park is a friendly informal club with about 40 members ranging from beginners to experts. The CAI Council are delighted to announce the affiliation of a new club based in the Waterville Lake hotel, County Kerry.
The Waterville Lake Croquet Society was formed last year and, through the efforts of its new members and Leo Dungan, has become a registered club with the CAI.
We look forward to following and aiding their development as a club and helping them promote croquet in the South West.
Leo Dungan and Robert Barklie were invited to help bring croquet to the attention of the good people of Waterville, Co. Kerry during the summer of 2011. Robert started the ball rolling in July and Leo ran 4 Croquet sessions during the 1st Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival in August. Click here to read Leo's Report
The Annual General Meeting of the Croquet Association of Ireland will be heldat Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club ( by kind permission ) On Thursday 24th November 2011 at 8pm. All members of the CAI are invited to attend.
