2019 Home Internationals Result

Ireland came third at the 2019 Home Internationals, held at a wonderful venue in Budleigh Salterton Croquet club on Southwest England’s Jurassic coast. In mixed weather, the assembled 5-strong Irish, English, Scottish and Welsh teams battled it out for the glass orb trophy which Ireland last won in 2013 on home soil.

The following are the results of the Championships of Co. Dublin Open AC tournament 31st May to 3rd June 2019

Championships of Co.Dublin Railway Cup:  Winner Simon Williams, Runner up Nathaniel Healy.

Duff Mathews Cup:  Winner Alan Looney, Runner up Gerard Osborne-Burke.

New Mirabeau Trophy:  Winner Conor O’Sullivan, Runner up Martin Gilmartin.

Phantom Shield:  Winner Tony Allwright, Runner up Mark McCann.

Boxwell Cup (Handicap Singles):  Winner Conor O’Sullivan, Runner up Gerard Osborne-Burke

Coronation Bowls (Handicap Doubles):  Winners Simon Williams and Martin Gilmartin, Runners up Gerard Osborne-Burke and Max Miller.

Appleton Result. SCA 14 CAI 10

The Scottish Croquet Association beat the Croquet Association of Ireland in the annual Appleton Trophy match in Carrickmines, Dublin by 14 games to 10.

Irish Team for AC Home Internationals

Danny Johnston(C), Andrew Johnston, Simon Williams, Patsy Fitzgerald and Jane Morrison (Sub - Peter Moore) are selected as the Irish team to play in the AC Home Internationals at Buddleigh Salterton on 8/9 June.

CAI Team for Appleton Trophy

This year's Appleton Trophy match between CAI and SCA will be played at Carrickmines on 11/12 May next and the following have been selected to represent CAI:- Jane Morrison, Evan Newell, Nathaniel Healy (C), Alan Looney, Gerard Osborne Burke and Robert Miller. Sub is Dave McGrath.

Please come along or either day to cheer on the home team. Spectators are always very welcome.

CAI AGM 23rd March 2019

The Croquet Association of Ireland is holding its Annual General Meeting in Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club, Glenamuck Road, North, Dublin 18. (2 minute walk from the Carrickmines Luas stop) on Saturday 23rd of March at 1pm.
